My IEP Experience
IEP helps the teachers, school, and parents help the student work together to help in school by providing them with educational support when they are struggling. But also, gives them a quality education that they deserve and prepares them for their college and career later in their life.
IEP gives an opportunity to kids who need the extra help to just stride over the finish line. It’s just some kids just need some extra support and that’s just fine. Nothing to be ashamed of.
My personal experiences with this program have been great ever since I entered it in the third grade. It had helped me grow as a person, it taught me so much about the essentials of communication and I learned about the importance of people skills. It also taught me to ask for help when needed and made me feel grateful for the support I have. I also learned to be patient , make new friends, and to be a leader . An experience I had was when going to the Santa Clara farm to volunteer, it was a genuine experience where I could take over and show off my leadership skills by going to other benches and helping out paint them. But also letting others do the work, and cooperating with them which IEP had taught me. Also after I was done painting the benches, I went to move on to washing the tractors which I wasn’t even assigned, and I just did it so I can help even more. This shows my leadership skills , but also shows how much IEP can help you out and it has made me the better person I am today.
IEP has taught me so much, and I’m grateful for the extra support it has given me and how it has helped me grow as a person. But also how it just offers people who need educational support and help them lead to success when they need it the most.
